Self-skills - inertia

Sitting on the fence being unable to make a decision to get off to your right or to your left paralyses many of us at some moments in our lives.

“Action is the enemy of thought.”

Even the wrong action leads us to recognise what we could/should have done and therefore even the wrong action is good for us!

Inertia is our true enemy.  It leads to a life of complain, blame and ultimately regrets.

Obviously to build our self-skills we need to feel as though we are worthwhile and have accomplished certain successes.  The only way we are going to achieve these feelings is to “have a go” and learn from our actions.  There is no such thing as failure, only degrees of success.  Even getting something 95% wrong, means you got 5% of it right!  Having a go, teaches us, especially when we are open to learning what went well and what did not.  Then and only then, we can seek to avoid repeating our mistakes and ensure we replicate those things that we did well, therefore building our feelings of self-worth and confidence.
